Monday updates: @!&*!!!* FUCK!

1) Mooseheads defenceman Konrad Abeltshauser broke his hand in yesterday's game against the Moncton wildcats when he collided with (?)/ was cross checked by (?) a Wildcat's player. According to Matthew Wuest he will be out at least four weeks. AT LEAST. Coach Cam Russell gave Wuest the details
"He broke his wrist. He'll be out a minimum of four weeks. He has a cast on now. It's a clean break in his wrist. It's broken right through. It wasn't displaced, that's the good news, and we don't think it will require surgery, but it will be a minimum of four weeks."

2) Former Mooseheads defenceman Richard Greer is no longer with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles (known around these parts as the Screagles- it may also be some sort of infectious disease). Richie now appears to be with the Summerside Western Capitals where he is going incognito as a forward.

Speaking of Western Caps - former Moosehead Chad Earle looks delightfully evil and has 16 points (8G, 8A) in 12 games this season with the Caps.

3) Willy Palov's latest article states that:
It’s also believed the Mooseheads will put in a claim on 19-year-old defenceman Paul Dimitruk when he is put on waivers by Moncton sometime this week. Russell said he hadn’t seen Dimitruk’s name on the waiver wire yet so he didn’t have much to say about it. But it’s safe to assume the Mooseheads would be interested.
The Moose are already carrying 8 defenceman (Brunet, Amyot, Metcalfe, MacDonald, Clarke, Gillard, Abeltshauser & Hannay) so it is kinda hard to know where a guy like Dimitruk fits in. I have fearful thoughts about certain boys being cut and these thoughts do not make me very happy.

uggggg poll!
Get over there with your mouse already! How hard is it to find a little button and press it, maybe caress it gently with your cursor. Stupid boys!

Elsewhere:
Wildcats forward Randy Cameron has won the QMJHL offensive player of the week while Saguenéens Goaltender Christopher Gibson was the defensive player of the week. Cameron should thank the Mooseheads for helping him get that award.
