Whitey runs away

Former Halifax Mooseheads forward (and my former Mooseheads forward boyfriend) Andrew White is leaving University hockey to play with the MJAHL Miramichi Timberwolves. He will see his first game action after X-mas.

This year with the Saint Mary's Huskies Andrew only played in 7 of 15 games, with 1 goal and 1 assist. My guess is he has done this in an attempt to get a little more ice time.

This is what they had to say about White in an article in the Times and Transcript:

"He's a very offensive-minded player and he can basically do it all," McGuigan said. "He's capable of being one of the top players in the league."

McGuigan said the 5-foot-11, 184-pound St. John's, N.L. native is a natural leader and will be a strong asset to the team.

Good luck in Miramichi, Andrew. I wish that the Moose had never done you wrong and that you were still here with us - where you belong.
