We won the Memorial cup...someone had best tell Spokane the bad news.

From the Charlotte Checker's website:
Hillier, 6-feet-0, 198 pounds, played the last four seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Over those seasons, he suited up in 229 games scoring 86 goals, 104 assists for 190 points. Last season, he helped Halifax win the memorial cup by scoring eight goals and seven assists for 15 points in 14 playoff games. The Halifax Nova Scotia native was selected by the Rangers in the third round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

hmmm maybe that is where they made the fuck-up. They were like "well someone on the team won the memorial cup...does it really matter who?"

They just threw darts at a board and then guess who won the cup.
