More Graham...now with Cheesy sports headlines

Really. You are going to headline the article "Graham a Bona-fied Captain". That is just too tacky Wuest. We do however like the pic of Graham you published in the Metro. He is so handsome when he is shaved... less Spry thuggin', more downtown Halifax RAWR.

He even looks like he may have shaved the back of his neck for the start of the season. How gentlemanly of him. I hope it doesn't mean that he will be a gentleman on the ice. That would be unacceptable. I imagine him being very useful and maybe even being good at plumbing (get your mind out of the gutter - real plumbing) or carpentry.

In order to create our imaginary version of what Graham is really like we will take the following quotes from Matthew Wuest's article and store them in our mental player personality database.

Bona isn’t one for the spotlight, as he declined an opportunity to speak at the podium at yesterday’s gathering. But his reserved nature in the public eye gives way to a different personality in the room, head coach Cam Russell said.

“He’s a shy guy when it comes to the press, but when he’s in his comfort zone, he’s always been a high-energy, vocal guy,” Russell said. “That’s good. You don’t want a dressing room to be like a morgue. He’s the perfect choice for us.”

...Growing up in the Halifax area, Bona was a big fan of Jody Shelley, one of the most decorated captains in Mooseheads history. He sounded awestruck at the notion of following in the footsteps of Shelley, among others.

“All the past captains that have been a part of this organization in the past and there are a lot of big names on the list,” Bona said. “I’m just glad to be part of it.”

and from Willy Palov's Chronicle Herald Article:

The 20-year-old is entering his fifth season in the QMJHL, the most of any player on the team.

"He’s the guy who’s got the most experience and I think he’s a very composed person," said Mooseheads general manager Marcel Patenaude. "He’s a good guy to have around the younger kids, to address some of the situations that will come up during the season. We feel very comfortable with him as the captain."

"He’s always a kid that works very hard and he’s always been very committed. We’re very happy."

Yes, imaginary GrahamBo is pretty awesome. Hey wait...there was a press conference and I was not invited. That is super-duper mean. I like hockey too, at least as much as these guys.

He cleans up well. In game he sports some serious Malkin-face though, it is kinda endearing. I wait all game for him to close his mouth -then I say hooray. I should start taking bets on when, during the game, he will first shut his gob, eg five minutes into the second period. It will make more money than the 50/50 draw.

I just realized that this quote makes no sense:
“All the past captains that have been a part of this organization in the past and there are a lot of big names on the list,” Bona said. “I’m just glad to be part of it.”

well, no one said they were like literate and shit. Hell, I've always maintained I don't really need them to talk at all. Unless it's some sexy French-Canadian. even then...

true that. Shut up, play hockey, look pretty.

Matt
Have you ever sat behind the bench? Apart from the smell there are still 1000 reasons not to want to sit back there, one of which is the state of Graham's neck. Oh, and the view of the nets sucks too.

Can't say I've ever sat behind the bench. However, I have sat behind the timekeeper's box and the unkempt neck back-age of Pat Connolly wasn't pleasant to look it. Maybe that's why he sometimes flubs words, his itchy neck is too much of a distraction. I thought I heard "two minutes for rooking" last night.
