Colby Pridham update

Being 20 means that former Halifax Moosehead centre Colby Pridham is no longer eligible to play in the QMJHL. What is a boy from Alberton PEI to do? Well, apparently Colby will be sticking around in Halifax. He, along with Tyler Hawes (a winger for the Rouyn Noranda Huskies), will be joining the Saint Mary's Huskies for the 2008/2009 season. In 51 games with the Mooseheads this season, Colby had 15 goals, 20 assists.

My girl CG will be very happy. When she returns to Canada next winter Colby will be right at her back door. Honestly it is so much work getting to the Metro Centre. Now she can walk right out of the LSC to the arena next door and find Colby there waiting for her when Dal plays SMU. She is likely to say 'wheeee' when I let her know how it's all going down.

Expect to see Colby in the dreaded Maroon of the Huskies next season

Dal sucks - won't somebody good please come to Dal. Sigh

According to an article by Matthew Wuest (as written for the Mooseheads website), the UNB varsity reds are most likely going to land Cape Breton Screaming Eagles alums Dean Ouellet and Jordan Clendenning. This is no surprise really since both boys are New Brunswick natives. Beau Prokopetz is expected to play defense with the Acadia Axemen.
